Sensory play involves activities that engage a child's senses: touch, sight, & sound. It is designed to stimulate a child's sensory development and cognitive growth by encouraging them to explore and interact with different materials and environments. Examples of sensory play include playing with sand, water, playdough, and textured materials, as well as activities like finger painting, listening to various sounds, and exploring scented objects. Sensory play helps children develop fine motor skills, language skills, problem-solving abilities, and social interaction, while also providing a fun and engaging way for them to learn about the world around them.
